- Day 2Shirdi to Aurangabad
Check-out from the hotel and proceed towards Aurangabad. On the way, visit Ellora Caves – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – an ancient site famous for its rock-cut architecture. There are five Jain, 12 Buddhist and 17 Hindu caves out here, which are worth exploring.Thereafter, continue your journey towards Aurangabad. On reaching, check-in at the hotel and relax. Go for a full-day excursion to Ajanta Caves, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are 30 Buddhist caves in this complex, which are preserved by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Explore these caves, where you will find sculptures and paintings, information about which have been detailed out by ASI.After the excursion, retreat to the hotel and stay overnight.
